It all started during the COVID-19 Lockdown, when the founders prepared their family’s favourite ‘Mohanthal’ at home in the midst of the pandemic, when the entire country was shut down. Since it was a huge batch of Mohanthal prepared, they sent it over to a few friends and relatives as a gesture. The sweet was so appreciated which prompted them to share the feedback in various WhatsApp groups and social media stories, which led to others demanding for the sweets!

Soon, social media posts and stories were flooded with Thank you posts and messages for treating them with our ‘Mohanthal’, which was by then, rebranded to Rohanthal after the name of the founder ‘Rohan’. 

Soon, they started receiving commercial orders from customers and within no time, they started processing almost around 30 to 40 kgs of sweets on a daily basis from their home kitchen. With a hardcore ‘Baniya’ & ‘Dhandha’ mindset, they quickly realized the scope in the business and developed a cloud kitchen in Ahmedabad to upscaled their home kitchen into a state-of-the art cloud kitchen, with a production capacity of 1000 kgs of sweets per day. What started from mere 10 kgs of sweets prepared daily from a home kitchen, was transformed into a profitable sweets business run from a cloud kitchen in a span of just 3 months.

We have never looked back since then! Varaq has grown into a much-loved mithai brand in Ahmedabad, due to our supreme quality, innovative packaging and most importantly, our fresh made-to-order sweets. Customers love the fact that each of their sweets ordered are prepared freshly, with less sugar and that our products are not mass-manufactured and stocked in warehouses. We use zero preservatives, additives or artificial flavourings. All our raw materials and sourced locally and are of the highest quality, which reflects in our products. We have a very stringent QC process, setting the highest quality standards.
